Tomas Hernanz

Tomas Hernanz is Encore Capital Group’s Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, serving in this capacity since April 2025. In this role, Hernanz is responsible for managing relationships with the investment community, leading capital raising efforts, financial reporting, treasury, tax, financial planning and analysis, corporate development and strategy functions. Previously, Hernanz served as the Chief Financial Officer for Encore’s European business, Cabot Credit Management, since 2022, and held other senior strategy and financial roles with the organization since joining in 2016.

Before joining Cabot Credit Management, Hernanz held various positions at Ondra Partners, a financial advisory firm, including as a partner. Previously, Hernanz served in various roles at Goldman Sachs and Citigroup. He earned his bachelor’s degree in International Business Administration from Universidad Pontificia Comillas, Spain.
