Tracy Ting

Tracy Ting joined Encore Capital Group in 2019 and serves as Senior Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer, bringing almost three decades of combined finance and HR expertise. Ms. Ting is an award-winning CHRO with background in finance who enhances shareholder value through strategic business growth and cultural transformation at multi-national companies. At Encore, Ms. Ting is responsible for people, culture, communications and ESG, providing strategic vision and enterprise leadership.

Prior to Encore, Ms. Ting was the Chief People Officer at Avanir Pharmaceuticals from 2017 to 2019. From 2014 to 2016, Tracy served as the SVP & CHRO at Affymetrix, a public global life science tools company, where she was a key member of the executive team that led the successful turnaround resulting in its acquisition by Thermo Fisher Scientific. Prior to Affymetrix, Ms. Ting worked at Varian Medical Systems, the global market leader in radiation oncology, for 15 years and held various leadership roles in HR and Finance. Earlier in her career, Ms. Ting worked as a financial auditor at PwC (formerly Coopers & Lybrand LLP) in Los Angeles.

Ms. Ting’s commitment to excellence also expands to her local community. She is a Board Director at Athena, whose mission is to widen the bridge to advance one million women leading in STEM by 2030. Ms. Ting also received numerous recognitions for her work including, by San Diego Business Journal as “Top Women of Influence – 50 Over 50” and by National Diversity Council as one of “California’s Most Powerful & Influential Women” and “Top 100 Diversity Officers.”

Ms. Ting holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications Studies with an emphasis in Business Administration from UCLA.
